Steps, Steps and Steps..

Mid-Levels - half way up the Peak...
That's where we are most of the time.
Before our car arrived we walked everywhere, trying to be like the locals.
I think my quads have doubled in size by now.

After the set of stairs below (which only shows 1/2 of the whole), I have two more steep set of stairs  and a hill before arriving at home... Yikes!!!!

Cookies!!!

A few days ago, I had attended a cookie exchange.
I am not particularly a cookie fan but there were a couple there that were just soooo yummy!!!
I need recipes!
But the best of all is that I got to chit chat and meet new people and catch up with old friends.

Lights! Action!

I haven't seen a school celebrate end of the year with such a big performance from the whole school body!!
Comedy, Wit, Dancing, Singing, and the list goes on.
I am so proud of them all!

Walking through Hong Kong

We are finally here in Hong Kong.
After taking some time to settle in, I was able to walk around and take in Hong Kong in one of the wet markets.
I just wish I had taken my camera around more so I can take pictures of the many firsts in Hong  Kong.

Well, it's better late then never!

In Hong Kong, there are much less number of bikers and bicyclers then KL or Manila, so this was a rare moment.

Looking down into the back of a building.  HK is limited by space.  The small alley is quite clean since all is hung.

Wet market has all sorts of food.  fruits, seafood, frozen and fresh meat.  Everyday is a wet market day.
For those trying to save money on grocery, this is a haven.

Since space is limited, living expenses, especially the cost of housing, is super high.
Here are some old style ad for housing in front of a Realtor.

Ulsan, Korea

I visited my old hometown for the first time since I left many many ....  many years ago.
It was amazing how the place has changed so much so that I didn't recognize it at all!
It only shows that your memory is the most important and truest.
Everything else changes...  hopefully your memory will stay constant...

Bangkok - Thailand

Just came back from a short weekend trip to Bangkok
We had a couple of experiences that had my friend and I scared to death!
We thought we might actually get kidnapped!!!

We are well and were just unlucky to be with someone who probably was having a bad day.
But our next encounter with our tuk tuk driver turned our day around and ended the day on the positive note.

Well here are a few pictures form the trip~

FRIM - Malaysia

Last weekend my daughter attended the Girls Scouts over night camp at the FRIM.

My parents always took our family on a camping trip every summer when I was young.  I could've just let her go and enjoy it without me.  But, I really couldn't resist sharing this experience with her.  We had a great time and I got to bond with nature and my daughter AGAIN...
