Happy Birthday D! | Hong Kong Event Photographer

We are getting busy preparing for our move next month!  Yes next month...
I don't know how it's already the end of our time in this exciting fun city!  I really do wish we could've stayed a little bit more...

D's mom called be after searching online for a her daughters bday party.  It can be quite overwhelming trying to choose among so many photographers out there.  She noticed that I was a mother to three kids and decided to call me!  That was the deciding factor.  haha Mothers unite!

What are some of other reasons you choose your photographer?

Pre Photo Session - Photo Session : Hong Kong Photgrapher

We had our own family photo session this past week.
I was so excited about this because I really wanted our Hong Kong family portrait done.

I had everyone else's outfit setup but mine!
This is not what I normally tell my clients.

Usually I ask that the mom plan out her outfit first then have everyone else match her outfit.  I decided that we will do a bit of slate grey/blue and a hint of color each for our color palette.  It took the rest of my family total of 5 minutes to come up with an outfit!  It took me a couple of days to come up with the color palette then another few days to come up with my own outfit.  Of course, I ended up choosing complete different outfit at the last minute..  whew~  It ended up being something i normally wear anyway.  I reasoned it's more me anyway!

Of course, before and after the photographer arrived, I did a short photo session of my kids.  I couldn't help it!  =)

There are about 7 photos, please refresh, if you don't see them all~

Food Galore - Trip to Seoul, Korea

Trip to Seoul, Korea this time was more for a break for me.
Everyone needs a bit of a break from what they are doing or where ever they are at this time in their life, even if it's the most rewarding career as a mom.

The whole trip my camera was just interested in the foooood.. The glorious Korean food~

First night, my family took me to Namsan for some bibimbop.  This place was so interesting because we had to serve ourselves! haha  and clean up after.. Kind of like a fast food restaurant, but we sat on the floor, Korean style.  The set up of the bibibop was so pretty.  You will see the pic of the hanok, where the restaurant was in.  Hanok is an ancient Korean style house built recently there to promote Korea.

The second day we went to namdaemun market and had some handmade taste craving noodles.  There was so much variety of food there but I was only there for lunch...  My stomach can only hold so much.  I strongly suggest you go and try every single thing there.

Then then last night my friends and I went to get some Makgeoli with friends and the restaurant had some great food to accompany it.  Makgeoli is rice wine.  For people who don't drink beer or soju (like me) this is a great (can be healthy if taken sparingly =) alternative.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of makgeoli because I was so focused on the main dishes: pa jeon, Nak Ji Bokkum and Ddukboki

Hope you enjoyed the pictures~

I Heart Faces - L.O.V.E

Chinese New Year is coming just around the corner.  I feel like it's holiday after another.  Right afterwards is Valentines day!  It's been a festive season for the past few months for us who celebrate both American and Hong Kong Holidays.

Though this is great for our family bonding time, I need a break!  I wish I could have some downtime and rest...

Soon enough...

E & L Family : Hong Kong Lifestyle Portrait

oooh~ I love being around babies especially when Dads are all over them!
E & L are a new mom and a dad. You can tell they absolutely adore their baby L so much but gives him a ton of space to breathe too.

I loves seeing dads get so involved with their new babies.  Baby L was cradled, rocked and cooed by his dad except for when mom was feeling him.  I guess this is one of those times moms get a break from watching the baby all day long all week long while daddy's at work~  hurray for helping dads~

There was so much from this photoshoot: I produced double what I would normally produce.  Every time I go out, I seem to end up with more and more photos.  It's a good thing!

This post I decided to just show the lifestyle portion.  I did a lot of portraits too of them.  I'll post them on the facebook instead.  Just so there are some varieties!

Enjoy~

There are total of 16 (yes that's more then double what I normally post too) so if you don't see them all please reload~

Friends : Senior Portrait

Wow it's been a while since I've gotten together with my high school friends...
I've met many wonderful people and made great friends along the way but there's nothing like friends from your teen years.

These girls goes to school together, live within 10 minutes from each other, run the student government together, traveled together and dream together.  They are beautiful.  They have so much ahead of them and they are not taking it for granted.  They work hard and play hard (in a good way).

I wish I can go back to my senior year again~
