Summer is here... Beaches in Hong Kong

When we first heard we were going to be moving to Hong Kong, we only imagined grey, concrete jungle with a lot of fast paced people.

When we first arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by so much green.  Not only were we surprised that Hong Kong is so much greener then first imagined, it also has so much beautiful natural sights!  We have been enjoying the hikes but now we are taking a full advantage of the beaches.

It's hot no matter where you are.  But for my kids, they'd rather be cooled in the ocean or be buried in the sand.  Wouldn't you??

There are nine photos, please refresh if you can't see all the photos and visit my facebook and show some me some LOVE

Here's the scene...  afternoon very crowded...

Summer Portrait Photography

It's May... It's May already!

Wow I just realized there's only a month left before kids are out of school and I will be all over the place with the children.  Where has first half of 2012 go??  I know I kept myself busy with taking on clients and becoming involved with people's lives in very special way!  How about you?

I have been planning the summer on and off for past couple of months.  I just can't believe it's going to be in a month...  I still have so much to wrap up before I leave and so much to do when I return.

Anyway, the summer schedule is finally firm!

First half of the summer I will be in the east coast, US.  Then I will be heading to Korea (Daejeon 대전specifically).  If you are interested in portrait photos for you, please email me!

Below.. my kids and I really enjoyed watching the lightening tonight...

Lovers...

Here is a couple who's gone through so much already.
They are not newly weds, though in the pictures, they seem to be.

We have known each other since waaaay back.
But of course with both sets of couples living in different continents, it was hard for us to get together.
I'm so glad we got to spend few hours with them to catch up and share what's going on in each other's lives.

Its not surprising that I had to pull them aside and take pictures of them!
and then they took pictures for my husband and me!
We laughed so much with all the poses we were making each others do.

It brought us back to when we just got married.  Before we even had kids!
Made us giggle!
How fun it is to be with our friends and travel in time~!

Fabric Market - Hong Kong Photography

Last weekend, I was lead by the very well experienced Hong Kong dwellers to the heaven of fabric!
This place is in a huge tent not too far from a MTR.
As soon as you enter, you are overwhelmed by the amazing variety of fabrics in all sorts of texture and colors.  My designer/handicraft friends, this would be where you will be hanging out if you were here in HK!!!

I remember trying to make a bed-cover about 5 years ago.. I just couldn't finish it!  But of course, it was a lot more difficult then I imagined and ended up hiring someone to do it for me.  I wish I had that seamstress here because I would be making tons of things with her help.

I've been photoshop-ing crazy for past few months.  Today I decided to take a break and post some pics directly from my camera - SOOC, is what we photographers call them - straight out of the camera.  Not even a logo!  haha  Is it because I'm being lazy?  maybe..  But more I really like these pictures as is.  I like how it is dark but so colorful.  It's very worn down but can you imagine all the beautiful things that can be made out of these materials??

People, with just a bit of imagination, and a little bit of help from our sewing machine using friends, you can make a bag, dress, hat, bed sheets and maybe and MAYBE you can be the next best FASHION designer on the Project Runway!!!  (I love that show =)

Children Portrait Photography

It is hot.
It is cloudy.
It is windy.

The weather is constantly changing...  I was not feeling well for a bit but getting better.
I am so looking forward to the rest of the week because I will be starting a new work out routine!!!
It's been a whole year since I did a REAL consistent exercise...  quite sad. I know.

I was watching my kids running around today and thinking I need some of that energy...

The following pictures will show you how much energy these children have!
Climbing up trees like for them is like swinging on swings the playground! geez...

I've attached three pictures... Please refresh if you don't see them all.

Please check out my facebook for other pics not on the blog~

Travel Photos to Macau Two

The sun is back out again!

Here are the part II of the Macau trip.
There were so many people there.
The mood was so lively.
The vendors were practically spoon feeding us with samples of their goodies!
We walked a lot and filled our tummies with the HK cookies.

Loved the vibe and can't wait to take our next visitors back.

Travel Photos to Macau One

We have visitors!
Sorry for the inconsistent updates on the blog.
I know I've been away for so long but I have been busy being out and about showing our visitors all of Hong Kong (well as much as I know)

My family visited Macau during the cold season and we pretty much stayed in the whole time.

This time around though, we ventured out!  It was super fun!!!
I loved Macau this time.  I'm not much of a gambler so we didn't stay around the casinos much.

But here are some photos from our visit to Macau.

There are eleven photos, please refresh if you don't see them all

and as always here's my facebook for you to stop by for some sneak peaks and such!

Hong Kong Family Photography - Winner Announced!

Finally posting the pictures I took beginning of this month!
This session was for the winner of my Give away to celebrate having 100 fans on my facebook!
Jenny and her family were so excited to do anything I've asked.
I was even more excited coming up with the ideas for the session.
They were the perfect clients!  Even though our little gentleman was not so inclined in posing in front of the camera we still got some cute pics of him.  It's all about being true to our emotions for that moment.

I had a ton of fun doing this mini session.  I was surprised actually how many different places we were able to go to for such small amount of time!

I will be holding another mini session GIVEAWAY once I get 10,000 visitors to my blog!  Last I saw it was nearing 6000  7500!!!!  Wow!  I am forever thankful for those who leave kind comments and clicking "like" on my facebook/blog photos and links and page.

You ARE AWESOME!!!

I will be in Philly/NYC/DC area 6/15-7/15
and S. Korea 7/15-8/15

Please inquire for any session booking details!

Thanks!

and now here are a few from the session...  (4 pictures total - please refresh if you don't see all four)
